I'm disgusted by his pathetic betabitchboi apology more than anything. Who gives a shit if there aren't women on the team? Seriously? As far as anyone knows none have even applied let alone made it through interviewing. There is no shortage of women in crypto investing as compared to any other part of this industry. Look at what Kathryn Haun, Co-Chair of A16Z's Crypto funds has been doing. You don't see her pandering you see her executing like the fucking boss she is.
Honest to god every single woman I see that does this type of crap always turns out to be so utterly unimpressive once I have a chance to speak with them and clearly only in her role because of the diversity goals of the firm. I've worked for 2 women founders in my career and they always hated this type of trash because the actual top women candidates don't need this kind of empty gesturing. They never wanted to be recognized because they had a vag, they wanted to be recognized because they were the best of the best. Anything less is just like have a big bolded asterisk by the name and title in my opinion.
Honestly, being the founding team for Bain Ventures Crypto - there isn't a traditional application. They look for people who are experts or have a notorious track record in the the Web3 ecosystem. All of candidates were probably asked explicitly then were interviewed. It wasn't an open application.

It's only sexist because it's a high-paying white collar job. There is not a single feminist lining up to become a plumber or some other type of tradesman. Men aren’t falling over themselves to become nurses just to get shut out or underpaid when they are. Plus this is a flawed analogy because by far men are are the actual doctors/surgeons/dentists/optometrists/other specialists who are extraordinarily well paid.
and by far there are more women married to richer husbands than husbands married to richer women, should we start a diversity program for this too, it goes something like if a millionaire female marries a poor dude shell get 20 percent lesser tax rate?

Why stop at CEO? It’s not worth it for any sane rational person to actively post content on mainstream social media such as TikTok, IG, Linkedin, FB, Twitter, Reddit, etc. anymore. I only frequently use and post on WSO and know that many others have expressed similar sentiment.
Yep me too. I deleted IG, Twitter..etc. I still use YouTube but only because I post videos, however I don't comment anything opinionated on Youtube. WSO is the only site I have open conversations with due to anonymity. I tried Reddit but the reddit crowd is way too sensitive and far left to have any sort of differing opinions. Their downvote system also creates an annoying echo chamber. I'm happy I learned early on rather than later that it's career suicide to post on main stream media unless you're carefully watching every word you post. It's more simple to just delete them all and say what you want in real life. WSO is great though, even though I disagree with you on a lot of things, the WSO site itself is pretty open speech and has a strong voice from both sides of the spectrum rather than being an echo chamber.
These guys were my Yugioh lunch buddies from grade school. We huddled together, tried to avoid the bullies and jocks, and just stuck to our own things, like math/chess clubs…OK, fine, physics clubs/spell bees, whatever. At one point we tried working out, and put on 5lbs, but no one could tell. We had a hard, underrepresented life to date. That is until this crypto thing changed our lives.
