Books on how to make money

I know this might sound stupid, but have you read any not-crap, non-charlatan books that teach you how to make money, conceptually at least?

I count Rich Dad Poor Dad as one. And for those who argue that Rich Dad was not real, I think his name was Robert Kimi.

Came in to say this. I'm not a pure efficient market hypothesis person, but I do subscribe to the belief that it's very, very, very difficult to beat the markets consistently year-in-year-out. Unless you want to work in investing/AM and can't imagine doing anything else, I just don't think it's worth investing a ton of one's time to trying to beat the markets, when you could instead be upskilling and earning more income. I love investing as a hobby and still read/follow the markets daily, but I only allow around 10-15% of my NW to be put into my trading account because I know I'm going to lose in the long-run versus just buying $VOO or $VT even.

Instead of worrying so much about investing, I've started to invest a lot of that time teaching myself some coding and transitioned into data, which has boosted my salary by over 50% and has reduced my hours compared to what I was working as a CPA. Beyond having more money to invest/take risks now, the fact that I also have more leisure time has been a big boost to my life after being way underpaid and extremely overworked for years. It's almost been worth more than just earning paper gains on high-risk stocks because my QOL and health are better than they've been in a long time.

It’s easier to sell pans than it is to pan for gold.

If the dude selling pans knew where the gold was, think he’d be wasting his time slinging pans?

Robert K is the epitome of a tax cheat. Most of his tips will get many folks in trouble with tax fraud.
