Do you like working in downtown business cores?

Recently started a job in a different neighborhood away from the downtown core. Still in the city and overall it's good. A different vibe in good and bad ways. I like that it's not so much of that "rushed" feeling downtowns tends to have with large flocks of people running around. Because I'm now on the second floor of a building compared to where I was before, which was the twentieth-something floor, it feels easier to run out and grab lunch or go outside for a break.

I do miss some of the easy access to amenities/services downtowns tend to offer, but the congestion and crowds of people I don't miss.

Do you like working in a downtown core, or prefer the less congested setting of a unique neighborhood?

Often the main reason why I take a job is how their offices look, where they are based and how modern the building is. The more people, the bigger the building, the more central to Wall Street or Canary Wharf - the more I am interested. I kind of like how everyone dresses up and looks professional, all the services are there and every contact I need or want to meet is a few minutes away.
