Dumb reason to choose a firm?

Back story:

~20 years ago, my father worked for one of the Big 4 firms. As such, he has a few connections. One of his coworkers is now partners (at a firm in a different city that I am applying to).

My dad basically helped me out and sent the partner an email and said, "my son is applying here, but he'd be interested in applying to the firm in your city if it doesn't work out (Big 4 only lets you apply to one city)."

Well, at a recruiting event I actually met the head recruiter who was given a heads up by the partner. Not only that, but she actually remembered my father. I have an interview with them upcoming (along with other firms).

Do you think this would be a dumb reason to choose one Big 4 firm over another? On paper, I really have no idea which one I would choose if I had an offer to two or more. I've met fantastic people at all the Big 4 firms from recruiting events I've gone to, and I wouldn't know what else to base my decision on. Any input? It may seem silly to decide on a firm when I haven't even been offered yet, but when they day comes, what other criteria do you really use to separate the firms?

You'll be doing the same shit at all if them, pick the one with the best personal fit. If youve got good connections already at the one firm, maybe head there for networking purposes.

Did you fly over my helmet?
