Email Faux with MD - Seeking Advice

Recently, I had a chat with an MD for an hour. Post the conversation, I sent thank you email and query about applying for a program. I mistakenly mentioned that the application link was closed ahead of the deadline, the it actually opens on that date.

I sent a follow up email, clarifying my mistake.

Is my relationship with them soured for the lack of attention of attention and slip up? They haven't responded yet. I honestly really like them as a person and see them as a potential mentor in career/life.

Honest thoughts?

You write a lot of words and don’t say much. How did you have a whole hour chat without talking about applying to a program? Seems like that is the whole purpose of a coffee chat.

We spoke about our personal lives & his industry (SPO). Honestly just getting to know him. It was an insights program that leads to interview & is under the radar. Found the link on a small section of the bottom of a random page.

What is an “Email Faux” anyway? A fake email? Are you trying to say “Faux Pas”?

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
