Dorsia is pretty good if you can get reservations.
Tatiana, by Kwame Onwuachi. Some thoughts on dishes I've tried below:
Ceasar w/ Baby Mizuna, Green Seasoning, Cashew: A
I'd heard mixed reviews about this salad but I thought it was great. As elevated as a Caesar can get.
Black Bean Hummus w/ Berbere Spiced Lamb, Sweet Pickled Sultana: A+
One of the standouts of the evening. It comes with pita, but you could easily eat this straight as a whole meal. Presentation was great too.
Curried Goat Patties w/ Green Seasoning Aioli, Mango Chutney: A
One of the standouts in all reviews, for good reason. This is something I will probably never have again so I'm glad to have had the experience in fine dining. The meat was seasoned so well, and the salty-rich-sweet combo with the chutney was just divine.
Honeynut Piri Piri Salad w/ Persian Cucumber, Seasonal Grapes, Crispy Quinoa: A-
Solid salad, a nice use of seasonal and fresh produce, creative but still approachable. Beautifully presented.
Take-out Mushrooms w/ Scallion Pancake, Plum Sauce, Pickled Ginger: A+
My favorite main of the evening. A Chinese-inspired mushroom dish that were a total umami bomb. The mushrooms themselves were delicious, the texture perfect, with an absolutely incredible plum sauce (I could douse anything in that) that elevated them even more) that elevated the dish even more.
Short Rib Pastrami Suya w/ Caraway Coco Bread, Melted Red Cabbage: A
Not a red meat person, but I can appreciate how well this was done. Tender meat with (once again) and accompaniment (in this case, the cabbage) that made the dish even better. The way many of these dishes are conceptualized is just next-level.
I've been following his career since Top Chef. He's a beast.

Moody Tongue— Michelin star brewery in Chicago opened a sushi/beer restaurant in west village…tasting menu w beer pairings are delicious
Steak with chimichurri sauce from Gramercy Tavern. Went there with my boss a few weeks ago and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. Great service too.
Sloppy steaks from Truffoni's
Pig Beach BBQ in queens: the baby back ribs, brisket and lamb shoulder
Corner Bistro: the Bistro Burger
Recently ate at Keens Steakhouse. Had the 8oz filet mignon au poivre, mutton chop, various sides (veggies, mushrooms, fries) and creme brulee
Ah have been meaning to try this restaurant for months, thanks for reminding me
Sounds like a lot of food! How often do you have mutton chop? Is it good?
It was quite a filling meal. I’ve only eaten a few dishes of mutton chops before and ordered this at Keens because it’s one of the most recommended dishes there and thought it was simply amazing - extremely flavorful especially with the mint jelly that they serve with it, which just elevated it to a whole other level. Also came with nice crispy french fries. It’s probably one of the best steakhouses in NY
Short rib from Nubiani
Any other dishes there that you'd recommend or primarily the short rib?
