Hair Transplant in IB
Hairline is cooked and I'm looking to go to Turkey to get it done. Trying to figure out the best way to do it and not be in the office - have around 2 weeks I can take off but obviously wouldn't be enough time.
Has anyone done the same, or rocked up to the office after having it done?
Based on the most helpful WSO content, hair transplants in IB are a topic that has been discussed, particularly regarding timing and workplace perception. Here are some insights:
Timing and Recovery: After a hair transplant, your head might look "gnarly" for about a week or two, and it could take 3-6 months before it looks normal. If you only have two weeks off, you might still have visible signs of the procedure when you return to the office.
Workplace Perception: Concerns about being judged or seen as vain are common. However, many professionals in IB have shared that as long as you maintain professionalism and confidence, most colleagues won't care much. If your MD or team is down-to-earth and you have a good relationship, they’re unlikely to judge you harshly.
Strategy: If you're worried about reactions, consider:
Ultimately, many in IB have successfully managed hair transplants without significant workplace issues. Just plan your timing carefully and communicate with your team if needed.

Junior VP here, thinning at the crown area and I would do it only when i switch jobs lol or just finish a deal and i get 2 weeks off. And I'll probably pay a premium to get it done at my schedule, some of the reputable shops have a up to 5 month waiting time which is nuts
Might as well the Türkiye teeth too, and the liposuction where they make the fat look like abs
I’ve never seen someone spell it right like this, are you a Turk?
No; per wikipedia:
"Turkey adopted its official name, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, upon the declaration of the republic on 29 October 1923. The official name in English was Republic of Turkey. In 2022, Turkey changed its official name in English to Republic of Türkiye via the UN.
At a press briefing on 5 January 2023, a US State Department spokesperson announced that:
the Board on Geographic Names retained both "Turkey" and "Republic of Turkey", the previous spelling, as conventional names, as these are more widely understood by the American public. The department will use the spelling that you saw today [Türkiye] in most of our formal diplomatic and bilateral contexts, including in public communications, but the conventional name can also be used if it is in furtherance of broader public understanding."
I know but still even I say Turkey and I’m mostly Turk
Only got my hairline done so I had the partial shaven method so they just shaved the back of my head and I kept my fringe long. So when I was back at work after 2 weeks people couldn’t tell other than them asking what happened with my haircut
