Headhunter Gift?
I recently landed an analyst position at a small debt investment firm as my first gig out of college. My first interview was set up through a headhunter who contacted me about the position and also negotiated some of the terms of my eventual offer.
I'd like to hear your opinions on proper etiquette when working with headhunters as far as thank you notes/gifts? This is obviously the first time I've worked with a headhunter so I don't know what is standard in this situation.
not sure why you would do this... sure, thank them and keep in touch, but they got paid to place you...
A gift of any sort is nice... doesnt have to be a lot of money but thought goes a long way
Here is a nice one for a Cigar smoker http://www.Amazon.com/Colibri-Cut-Cigar-Cutter/dp/B004E2G3W4/.
From my experience, headhunters would rather you send them quality candidates. So just mention you appreciate their business, and you will certainly send your friends to them.
I don't want this thread to go too off topic, but could you talk a little bit about your headhunter experience? I am really curious as to how you got a HH to go after you as an undergrad. Did you win a bunch of competitions or something?
Good question.
