MBA Finance vs MSc Fin programs

Hey All,

I am looking for advice on how to decide between an MBA and a 12-16 month MFin program.

I currently have admission in Kelly IUs MFin program, but I realized that my work ex would make me eligible for an MBA too.

I will be changing domains … have a chem eng ugrad, work as a supply chain analyst currently … so no finance experiences per se.

I’m interested in Fintech but wanted to know

  1. Factors to choose between an MBA/1 year MFin programs
  2. Breaking into Finance with no finance work experience … job viability?
  3. Choosing a path .. I’m interested in fin tech and equity research and see very limited options (more like only electives classes)… how could I build my portfolio/academics to be geared towards fintech

Appreciate the help!
