Monkeys, I apologize...

I know this has probably been discussed already. I also know everyone must be getting sick of hearing about the CFA ad nauseam.

HOWEVER... for those willing to lend me 2 mins of their time...

I have just signed up for CFA Level 1 and will be writing the exam in December 2013
Currently working as a Summer Analyst in IB at a BB
Going back to school at the beginning of September

Here is my question: I will have fairly limited time to study for the exam before the start of September, but might be able to sneak in some hours here and there - for those of you who have gone through it, would you suggest I start ASAP, or instead really focus on the CFA a few months before the exam?

I feel as if if I start studying for some of this shit in August, I'll probably forget a good part of what I learned and will have to do it all over again. Would I be better just going hard for a shorter period of time?

I would love your feedback on this one ladies and gents

I recommend you familiarize yourself with the entire curriculum as soon as possible, then decide how much time you'll need.

in it 2 win it

Start now and cram before the exam. That's what I am doing and I also just signed up for Level 1. Also sign up for a local CFA Society in your state. $25 for students and great classes and seminars included.

Rarely will any of my posts have enough forethought/structure to be taken seriously.
