Funniest

i've found that vigorously jerking off seems to pass the time pretty well. you may get some funny looks but dont pay them any mind, they're not investment bankers so they dont really understand

- Market news, pre-market et al
(I mostly setup my trades during my commute)
- Reading industry news sourced through Google Alerts
- Reading an eBook
- Music

reading a book, but make it fun by putting random book jackets over it like mein kampf, kama sutra, communist manifesto, anything by trump, what you can do to avoid aids by magic johnson, conquering explosive diarrhea by G Hud, how to live with a huge penis by richard jacob

I usually kill time with reading or studying language (duolingo, lingQ, anki), or if I'm too tired to do that, listening to a chill podcast like stoic meditations or buddhism guide or just sounds of the ocean is a good way to wind down

Yeah a good book cover is essential - something like this:

-

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I feel like a creep when I do this, like I’m stalking them almost. But yeah sometimes it is interesting to look at a person and guess what they might do, who they are, or how the ended up the way they did.

I do too, but I have a friend that owns his own private security firm and he basically does this all day. Nice guy, but still.

Quant (ˈkwänt) n: An expert, someone who knows more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing.

If you're looking to be productive, read earnings transcripts, investor presentations, etc

Realistically the subway helps me separate work and personal, so I just mess around with games on my phone
