Onlyfans specialized lending and consulting firm - a business idea

Disclaimer: This is not a shitpost. this is also not legal or financial advice

Came up with this crazy idea, (I was fully sober - I swear). I have never used Onlyfans in my life and have no intention of doing so. But if there's money to be made, then so be it.

Think of it as specialized Venture capitalism, banking, and consulting but for Onlyfans. We'll screen young women who demonstrate a profound interest in building an onlyfans career by having them interviewed or have them do a certain test that will give them a score. If they obtain a favorable evaluation, we will loan them a certain amount of money that will be used for advertisement, equipment procurement (cameras, gear, hiring a video editor) so that they can pump out quality content very early on. We will charge interest on that loan. The wide knowledge obtained from working with these women will allow us to start offering consulting services to help creators make more money and get more views. We will offer to reduce interest on our loans if the women accept to answer surveys or allow us to access data about their viewership, how many customers they get on a monthly basis, how much they earn, etc. This data will allow us to offer more tailored advice, or it can be sold to onlyfans themselves. We can also offer a verification certificate to creators after evaluation.

The AI revolution is here, so we can create an AI chatbot that gives predictive text recommendations in their chats with customers so they don't have to think too much about what to say or do. AI can also learn about Onlyfans algorithm and offer recommendations related to the content they post to maximize clicks and subscriptions. The AI can even evaluate costumer profiles to offer very tailored advice on how to interact with them.

We can also sell beginner courses and hire experienced creators to teach in those courses. If a client doesn't obtain a favorable evaluation for her loan, we can ask her to take a course that will qualify her for that loan.

If we make bank, we can adopt a riskier strategy by acquiring the pages of creators who show great potential, offering them a monthly salary for a fixed period instead. That way they can be guaranteed a certain income and if they generate more money than their monthly salary, we'll profit greatly by pocketing the difference.

It is only likely that we might be accquired by Onlyfans in the future.

This is not a shitpost like I said earlier, but I highly doubt I'll ever actually start that kind of business.

1) social media agencies do a whole lot you described. they manage the creator, link them up with videographers, editors, tech folks, .. without a loan, but for a fee. probably more ideal than creating a lending structure yourself?

2) verification is normally done by the platform, not third parties?

3) I think VCs generally don't bank on "key people" alone like painters, singers, artists, future actors - there should be more than that. If you are trying to bank on a creator/artist, then you would be the agent or manager. again, they both exist in all forms already and they take a cut for their services. they don't give them money because this isn't a "venture", although it might scale.

4) Not sure how much all of this will cost in time, marketing, effort, tech development.

5) Creators don't really want a fixed salary in exchange for someone managing their content. that's the whole point.

I know people who work in this field and they make a lot more than I do.

I absolutely agree that digital, user-driven adult content platforms are very profitable and there is money to be made here. There will also be more platforms going forward with some niches that are not saturated yet (i.e. feetfinder, pantydeal, snifffr, justforfans, et al). The Western world is learning from Asian cultures now where this has been around forever.

There is a thing called a content and creator network - where some/all of your rights are given to a management/holding group which then promotes your channels. That might be something useful for smaller adult content creators, the ones who don't have fame and income yet. But since WSO is a family friendly website, I don't know how much more detail we can discuss...

"Creators don't really want a fixed salary in exchange for someone managing their content. that's the whole point."

I never bought anything from Onlyfans but from the brief interactions I had with Onlyfans creators on twitter out of pure curiosity, it seems like most of them don't make any money in the beginning and are usually really desperate for cash. I get that the salary would kill the incentive to pump out quality content, but that can be managed by brackets maybe. Like, if she generates ($100-1000) a month, she gets her $1000 salary. However, if she generates ($+2000) a month, she gets $1500. These numbers don't mean anything, I'm just demonstrating what I mean.

My business plan:

Set up OnlyFans Oasis (OFO)

A forum for OnlyFans professionals. Young professionals can learn from experienced OnlyFans pros and MDs, who can obviously give them advice on internships and shit.

Sell modelling courses

We'll have different forums: Filming, teasing, chatting, customs, positions, posing, modelling, etc

When creators sign up on OF, they are doing so under their own "terms", so to speak. They are self-employed and use OF as a distribution platform. They don't work for OF or their management team. They can make a million on there, or zero. OF only verifies identity, age and that the content is not illegal; and then distribute it. The user also has to legally reside in a location where this kind of business/distribution is accepted. I don't see OF being marketed in i.e. majority-islamic nations.
In fact, this entire industry is among the most regulated in the entire world. Not an easy place to make money as many third parties and institutions don't want to deal with you or these kind of businesses.

If you are selling content/videos/merchandise/services/a brand for the creator(s), your are selling these goods/services on their behalf. Again, this might be legal and fine to do so - just like many of the production companies are doing. If an actress gets a wage and sells her rights for an adult movie production this is very similar. Just make sure this is on the up and up.

When we advise clients and investors, we often say to steer clear of tobacco, adult, alcohol, violence/hate, controlled substances, legal substances, and very extreme political views. They also stay far away from "questionable" content/media like street racing or any societal view that may impact their brand reputation.

Just a hint - once you have any of the above attached to your name - not every industry is going to hire you.

The challenge for these women isn't the camera or gear (you can get a quality video camera for $200 and a tripod for $10) but rather building and scaling an audience. OF is very saturated with creators and there's only so many eyeballs on there, it's not easy to compete against the established platforms. Think of how hard it is to become a YouTube creator - and there are a million free resources and analytics done for free as it is.

Of course. But think how much easier it would be for you as a youtuber if you started out with M subscriber level video editing and camera quality as well as tailored advice by someone that helps you along each step of the process.

You need to keep in mind that most make around 200$ / month, yes a couple of women earn the big bucks but they mostly used the social capital (millions of Instagram followers etc) they had before and monetized it.

Are 200$ / month worth it to show your nudes to the world?
