I'm about to start my first job here in a few months and am curious if anyone has any credit card they really like. I've been looking at all different types but specifically I think I want something with good cash back benefits. I considered a Delta Skymiles card but I don't travel enough to make it beneficial to use one of those.
Also, if anyone has any recommendations regarding checking / savings account, please let me know! I use SunTrust right now but it seems really outdated with regards to the app and perks. Maybe this will change when it becomes Truist....but what a terrible name lol. Does anyone use Chime or any of these I've heard a few good things about it.

I have began to focus on building and improving my credit score. Therefore, I have been looking at some of the beginner cards with minimal fees and good rewards.
So far, some of the ones that stand out are the Discover It card, Citi double cash card, Apple card, capital one secured, etc.
I am open to more suggestions.
I got the Discover Card as an entry level credit card. Comes with a $500 limit but easy to use
Hi, I moved in two years ago and now have a very good credit score. 745 and lines of credit of 60K+ Use Experian website/app for a star. ter If you just started a job and have no credit card, you need to know that you will not be approved for every credit card. Experian tells you which cards are likely to accept you. From my experience: open bank account with bank of America, amazing interface/app, and you can get secured credit card for a year or so. If you keep making payments on time, it will turn into a normal credit card within a year. They have an amazing rewards system (3% for one category) There is no other card that gives 3 percent consistently. Another good one is discover but they are not accepted everywhere which might be embarrassing at times. I have one as my backup. Now, you have to understand when you first get one you will not have a huge credit line, you build up so what I did is use credit card for everything and pay it off every couple days, in a couple of months bank will increase your limit. Also make sure balance on closing day is less than 30% of your credit limit. I heard there is also a good capital one card with good cash back that is one of their best cards. If you have cash and want a savings account, american express have one with relatively higher yields and no fees. Happy to answer any questions or even share my experience in a thread if helpful
Uber visa card is great, 4% back on dining/entertainment, 3% on travel? I forget the rest but you can apply through your Uber app, they used to have this $200 back when you spend $1,000 in three months, but not sure if that still holds true.
I also use chase Sapphire (not reserve cause I don't travel enough), which is pretty good.
