Screens DRAINING energy

Is it just me or does starting at monitors kill energy levels. I find that half way through the day I’m tired and I think it’s because of screens.

Does anybody else deal with this? Finance is obviously a screen heavy job so is there anyway to get over this?! Foods to eat, blue light protection glasses, anything?

Thanks

Key risks in all management jobs:

- sitting / lack of movement
- screen exposure
- eye strain
- lack of oxygen
- bad for skin as well
- bad posture if not super ergonomic desk/chair, ..
- not great for hands due to constant use of keyboard/mice

Ideally, go for a walk in between. work out in the morning or at night, look out the window, invest in a good monitor, humidify the room/air, exposure to other humans/pets, listen to music/meditate/relax somehow

Are you eating a ton at lunch? That's a common reason to crash mid-day. As is skipping breakfast and chugging coffee in the AM

Try a small snack in the AM, less caffeine in the mornings and a smaller meal at lunch time and you should feel a bit lighter and breezier.

My firm came in pretty clutch and has provided everyone with these new hp monitors which cut out a lot of the glare so the screen is more muted more akin to how a kindle looks. Been surprisingly helpful in cutting fatigue as less wear and tear on the eyes. Will definitely buy for my home setup too soon

I went to an optician a few years ago and purchased some carbon fiber frames with transitional lenses that blocked UV rays and blue light. The frames were $150 and lenses $250. I used to wear them all the time for about a year, but now don’t use them much anymore.
