Dominican Republic - Casa de campo
Hahaha this place is the shit man, lost the v card there
Great golf as well
If you ever want to visit the DR again, try Punta Cana or Cap Cana. They have amazing golf courses, some are PGA. Plenty of partying if you're looking for that too with places such as Coco Bongo and Imagine (club in a cave system with 3 different rooms and music styles).
I grew up in the DR and visit constantly. Happy to give more guidance.
Spent a little over a month living in Morocco just embracing the streets
Username checks out. Assuming you really do like that kind of ass……
Alaska in summer a few years ago. Got lucky to have two weeks of great weather. I daydream of that state.
Hiked through the temperate rainforest and rafted back towards the ocean with incredible views of the mountains behind me. Ate the best crabs I've ever had at a remote crab shack and took a flight in a tiny floatplane. Landscape photography out of a helicoptor. Walked on top of a glacier. Rode on the Alaska Railroad.
Didn't quite get so lucky with wildlife, but I loved that entire trip and it's still the best I've had.
This sounds awesome
Not checking teams
probably basque country last fall, just me, my wife, my best friend, his wife. good surf, better food, great weather, zero drama
Nice - Spain or France?
Yes
damn that sounds amazing. I'm thinking of hiking the Camino de Santiago through the Basque in the future, Isaiah_53_5 💎🙌💎🙌💎 you down?
Yeah possibly - that would be cool. My uncle did the Camino once and liked it so much he did it again a couple years later.
Bro I'd love that, idk that I can swing more than 3 weeks off at a time though, so I'm likely to do it more piecemeal
Went to Japan a few years ago with a good buddy. Ended up having to put in about 10-12hrs of work through those 1.5 weeks but even then it was such an incredible trip. Incredible foods, sights, and activities. I'll always have fond memories of that trip, and I'd love to go back in the next few years maybe with my gf
Japan for my honeymoon. Lots of great food, sights, and areas to explore between the various cities. We went to Tokyo and Kyoto for 2 weeks, but definitely would want to go back and explore other cities like Osaka.
Yellowstone was also great when I went with a couple of friends. Went in October so lots of snow everywhere - climbed a mountain, hiked around frozen lakes, saw lots of wildlife and cool sights along with lots of goofing around at the cabin we were staying at. Very different flavor from Japan, but also up there IMO.
Japan for honeymoon sounds incredible tbh, I have some friends that did the same thing and it looked amazing. I've been before but just by myself, as a honeymoon destination I'm sure that was a great experience. My gf said she really would want to go there for that since she's never been. What were some of the more couple-oriented things that you liked about it?
So I left this out, but we also went to a spa / resort town called Hakone for a couple of days between Tokyo and Kyoto. It was a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and for us to just relax a bit in a more natural setting. The place we stayed at was a resort with hot spring baths, multi-course meals, mountain views, etc. so really nice place to just chill.
Aside from that, we didn't really do anything couple oriented - it was just fun trying new things and exploring new places with somebody.
Japan - first time in Japan, just did 4 days at Tokyo. Plan to do more in Mt. Fiji, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo next year.
Amazing sightseeing, very calm and composed culture. Great shopping areas and thematic areas to visit. Lots of very large parks to take a walk and read about history.
We did ryokan in Asakusa area (only one of the hotels had it, it was very very good), walked through cherry blossom during season (very beautiful), went to local bar (very small and crowded but very delicious). Big anime fan, Shibuya had a whole floor for One Piece comics and merchandise. Shinjuku had very amusing nightlife scene. Omakase near the grand train station is very very good (need to book through a concierge at hotel, should book months in advance, also should book for the bar instead of table seats). 7/11 is on another level.
Downside - very shy locals and businesses. Non-Japanese speaking travelers aren't very welcomed. Ideal if you know how to speak Japanese, at the very least have a translator ready. Hotels aren't as spacious as you'd see in US or Caribbean.
Second time in Japan - Cherry blossoms in Tohoku. Gorgeous. Hirosaki was my favorite.
Elaborate please. A big fan of Japan.
It was mid-late April. Cherry blossom season was early that year, so I went to Tohoku for the full bloom. Went to Sendai, Akita, Hirosaki and Aomori over a week. Highlight was definitely Hirosaki castle, absolutely beautiful. The cider in Aomori was the best I've ever had.
Cancun, hooked up with a mom at 17 years old, and had s*x with some girl on her bachelor party(she was the bride). Also f*cked a girl on a bus in front of 30-45 people on a bar hopping tour. All with with my HS friends, and with all our parents footing the bill.
good heavens
Thank you, nice to read about this.
Two weeks in the south of France. Did Cannes, Nice, Aix-en-Provence, and spent 24 hours in Monaco. Unbelievably good food & wine and fantastic people.
One that was a bit unorthodox (no pun intended) was a hiking/camping religious pilgrimage I did in Poland from Warsaw to Czestochowa covering 200+ miles on foot. Great spiritual formation, everyone was really nice, and it was very mentally refreshing and grounding.
Name checks out
unfortunately they didn't have any pierogi on the pilgrimage itself, but I had this amazing pork knuckle after that was delicious and made it all worthwhile.
Iceland - that place was perfect. Gorgeous serene sceneries. Get away from the ridiculous rat race of the office. Go get some of that fresh air and clean water. Enjoy the peace and beauty until you inevitably have to land back in Newark airport in Jersey (ew...).
The North Shore in Oahu, Hawaii and it’s not even close
I have been to all the places mentioned above. And more … Lol
No you haven’t. Shut up, nerd.
Hahaha … can you make your jealousy any more obvious than this? Hahahahaha!
Just got back from a great trip to Crete. Hired a car and saw a lot of great scenery and fantastic beaches. Also had half board so had glorious breakfasts and dinners everyday. Was pretty great for a one week holiday.
Otherwise I've done a three week tour through BC/Alberta with family which was awesome.
Spent 2 weeks traveling Europe during last new years. Was able to fully disconnect from the office and treat my younger siblings to the trip. It was amazing.
St. Lucia. By far
Off roading in Baja
Jacking off with my left hand
China - we did the traditional big cities (Shanghai, Beijing) and it was extremely fun, food was great as well. Only annoying bit is that you need someone who speaks Chinese if you want to venture out of big cities (even there it’s a struggle sometimes) as well as some specific apps to pay/get around/communicate.
I’ll go again for sure
I've been to a lot of places but I really, really, really like New York. It's extremely fun in small doses, it's a relatively quick flight, and I have a lot of friends there so it's always fun catching up with them after not seeing them for a while. There are other places that are probably more "fun" on paper, but I don't have any friends that live there so it reduces the fun factor by a lot.
