WallStreetOasis addictive like Facebook

So this site used to be educational for me. Now it's just an addiction.

I check updates on comments and new topics as I would check facebook comments and statuses. This is really crazy and has really cut into my productivity.

Anyone else turning into an addictive monkey?

Have you noticed the random times that people post? I'm on WSO more than FB.

Yeah I agree. At first I would just check WSO only for info on interviews and background on firms but now I am on here nonstop. I use google chrome which ranks the websites you visit the most and WSO has been slowly creeping up the list and now it is 2nd only behind gmail

haha yah WSO overtook FB and became my number one a few months ago. Either way, its not a bad addiction. Better than visiting addicting games or even ESPN, since this site has great info and is a good place to socialize.

looking for that pick-me-up to power through an all-nighter?

Anthony .I am not on the site that much.

Well your profile pic says otherwise.........only a dude weaving some special type of bullshit could get one of those chicks let alone three.

the second i got an internship i stopped looking/posting for the most part. the downside "reputational risk" grows while the upside, once you're in the door, shrinks.

Ha, spoken like a college student. I think the opposite is true - WSO becomes incredibly more helpful over time as you get more established in your career. I've made several real life connections on these boards with really cool guys that I probably wouldn't have met otherwise, from varied backgrounds and with all kinds of interesting jobs. Give it another year or two, and the WSO network will be broad, dense, and valuable.

Yeah I can't wait until I get a FT "high finance" job and can make connections...even as a prospective monkey I can tell site is going to be very valuable even after I land that job.

And yes, I am addicted to WSO as well, ha. I won't really visit it at work too often, but at home it's pretty much up on my compter all the time. Good to hear I'm not alone ha.
