When did you realise that finance isn’t for you?
When/How did you realise it?
What did you do with your major, assuming you initially studied Business/Econ/Finance.
Did you emphasise other alternatives like Tech/SWE?
Thanks

Realized in college. Pro tip do not go work a finance job if you already don't like finance
What did you do afterwards?
got a sales job which I sort of liked, then got a trad finance job that I hated (this is why I'm saying don't do a trad finance job if you already don't like finance), now working on a startup.
I studied finance up until my junior year of college. Once I started enrolling in the more in-depth courses and got an actual taste for what finance was as opposed to the easy entry level courses, I decided it was not what i wanted to do with my life and switched my major.
Switching your major that deep into college and still graduating on time is difficult, but still possible. I had done so much work in finance already I kept it as a minor, and switched my major to Global Supply Chain. With the way the world is going, I thought it would still be a relevant major to have and when paired with a finance minor it makes a great combination (words from a vp at an engineering firm and execs at F500). Hope this helps.
Finance is always for me. I’m interested in the heart of businesses. What makes them tick / survive / flourish / make customers happy / make employees happy. All of these are vital parts to successful revenue growth and profits.
Identify the heart of something, and you will know its way.

You know how I know you’re gay? You eat spinach dip from a sourdough bread bowl.
