Banks/other firms who required booster shots 2021-2022

I'm looking at making a lateral move for a number of reasons within the next year or so as the market improves. I am not interested in working for a firm that required booster shots however, even if they later dropped the policy. I realize some firms were pressured by NYC or other localities to require the original vaccine series. I am not interested in working for a firm who went extra about it.

Who did? I know for a fact that Blackstone did since we had an analyst leave for there in 2022 and he had to get one.

Guys, I'm not going to turn this into a COVID debate thread. If you liked the booster shot policy, great, proudly list your bank so others who may agree can lateral there also. Not looking to debate this. If you know for a fact that a certain firm required boosters, let's make a list.

It's sad that you don't understand how serious it was. Your employer who provides your livelihood and healthcare literally forcing you to take a vaccine which hasn't been properly tested and the risk/reward is not worth it for anyone under the age of 40. If that doesn't alarm you then I'm sorry but you're an actual non playable character

Vaccine or boosters? I know some NYC firms got pressured by the state/local government to adopt the original vaccine but the link unfortunately didn't show booster requirements, unless I missed it.

I don't agree with companies requiring the original series but at the same time, they'd basically have a choice of either blatantly breaking state/local law and being forced to leave NYC or just require the original series. They're not going to just leave NYC. So I somewhat give companies a pass that required the first round.

always enjoy when young people who often have a predilection for doing adderal / coke / heavy drinking are like ' but the vax is like, poison'.  not referencing OP and don't care what people's stance on vaccines are but it's just funny.  I briefly dated a girl who did coke like every other day, but wouldn't take the vaccine because she thought it would have health effects.

You have completely missed the point. The government don't mandate you to take cocaine which is the argument here. You should have freedom over your body especially over something which isn't safe

I'm not sure what 'argument' you think I'm making; if you want to protest against government tyranny by not taking a vax, then do it.  I was making the point that many people talk about the health impact of taking a vax but proceed to do other stuff that is definitely not healthy.  And as you can see from someone who replied with some nonsense about cocaine not causing heart problems, don't think I was off-base.  Which government are you referring to that forced you to take the vax by the way?

Lol is this some kind of silly threat to "cancel" me? If so, you just made my point why I'd rather avoid these people.

They'll get my name just fine when they see my resume and that I'm more qualified than someone who somehow made it to director and has nothing better to do than make snarky internet comments like a teenage Xbox player

It's never JUST being against the COVID-19 vaccine, though. It's almost always accompanied by some other fringe and usually quite bigoted views. Especially if someone is so vindictive to not want to work at a bank that EVER had this policy... Cmon, that's just weird.

My company now did not require boosters, just the original one which let's be honest NYC forced them into it so I sort of give that one a pass. I'm aware of "creative" forms of identification but it's more a question of what am I getting myself into with the company. It's a cultural screen in the same manner how I'd screen other cultural aspects.

I dont know about big companies and New York specifically, but for my small manufacturing company with ~140 employees, the local health authority showed up and asked a ton of questions, then strongly implied some things as they enjoyed their power trip. We are in a super red state too.

So, I imagine huge companies like the ones above dealt with the same but worse, especially being in NYC...

Not sure i would hold it against them.

OP is talking about mandating boosters though. Only some firms mandated that.

Yeah my point is that the local health authority may have come over and strongly implied that if the firm doesn't do that, then they will rack up some bullshit investigations.

It's like OHSA. If you don't feed them chicken nuggets coated in gold when they visit you, they will find some absurd reason to fine you...just depends on how much the inspector likes you.

These government clowns love to brag that they "convinced" a company to do something.

For example, if I was at the local health authority in NY..how much of a flex would it be to my fellow government criminals that I got a huge co to institute some insane policy?

Not saying this is all it was...but probably a piece of it.

You really cant do much if some dude making $60k at the local gov agency decides he doesn't like you and wants to punish you. Well I guess you can, but you end up spending $$$ against the government who has unlimited $$$.

I had to fight so hard to get into university because I never took the waxxine and ended up fighting for a religious exemption. Thankfully, the companies I interned at didn't require the waxxine, but if I was recruiting for SA 2022 I would have been screwed.

Why don't you just move to Mississippi or Alabama? NYC is an educated population with a bent towards providing social safety nets and engaging in research based public health campaigns. If you wanna be around retards all day just move to the deep south lol.

Oh wait that's right, the people who think like you and inhabit the rural south are retarded and thus there are no jobs down there. Or essential infrastructure. Or drinking water without lead. Or significant swaths of the population that can test above elementary literacy levels. ROLL TIDE BABY YEEEEEHAW!!!

"The states with the lowest literacy rates are New Mexico, California, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Nevada, New York, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. New Mexico has the lowest literacy rate in the US, with a rate of 70.9%. California has the second lowest literacy rate, at 71.6%, while both Texas and Mississippi have literacy rates of 71.8%, making them the third and fourth states with the lowest literacy rates in the US. Louisiana is the fifth state with the lowest literacy rate, with a rate of 72%, Nevada has the sixth literacy rate, with 74.7%, and New York has the seventh lowest literacy rate in the US, with a rate of 75.6%. At 76.1%, Alabama is the eighth state with the lowest literacy rate"

Lol you tried to dunk on OP and the state of Alabama meanwhile NYC has a worse literacy rate than Alabama... Get off your high horse.

What does not wanting to take a vaccine have to do with retardation?

Exactly, so why do you want to take your redneck poverty views to NYC where the vast majority of people think like me? Why would you not stick around Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida panhandle, etc.? We would love for you to stay in the third-world south but for some reason you want to come play in the city that people who think like us built???
