Agree with the above. I’ve never heard of it but also don’t think that any certification is more valuable in PE than the experience of being on live deals. Of course, I’ve seen people with a CFA or the CPA because they were already in or lateraled to banking/MBB consulting before PE but I highly doubt either of those helped them get a job. Can’t stress this enough but if you want to do PE or growth equity, you should be networking as much as possible to get into a role that gives you some form of transaction or operational consulting experience.

Yeah, I heard of this CPEP . It is professional certification program that provides private equity professionals with the knowledge, skills, and credentials they need to excel in the PE industry. The CPEP™ certification helps an individual to elevate the finance skills up to a level that is expected by the top PE and VC firms. CPEP™ helps skyrocket the career growth for an individual who is already working in the PE sector.

CPEP™ credential is developed by the United States Private Equity Council (USPEC), which offers comprehensive private equity certification for individuals who want to be certified private equity professionals. This certification program aims to excel professionally and prepares accounting, finance, and business-study professionals to take an impressive start in their career in private equity.
