[Help needed] Exciting take-private

Hi fellow monkeys, for a university project I need to analyze a take private LBO transaction announced after 2020. What do you think are the most exciting deals to write about?

I came across

Cornerstone OnDemand / Clearlake

Anaplan / Thoma Bravo

Edit: Forgot to specify this, but I’m most interested in Tech!

Great point

A deal that has a special angle to it, so it’s more than just buy at a revenue multiple -> grow profitability by reducing labor costs -> sell based on EBITDA. It can be complex, but not too complex (i.e. the Citrix / Vista deal is too complex with the ensuing merger)

The special angle could be

  • Innovative transaction structure
  • compelling growth strategy
  • A specific edge the PE firm has in that area

    Thanks!
