Is a internship in a midcap FoF worth it?

Hello there,

I got an internship offer from a midsized FoF PE fund (Aum = 20bil, Fundsize roughly 500- 2bil) where I would work in their Investment and SMA - Team. I think PE as a topic is interesting and would like to use this internship as a first step into that direction. (prior to this I only interned at a big 4 in their financial services audit division).

I know that FoF and regular buyout/growth funds operate differently - but should I give it a shot? Pay is good and the team seemed very nice.

Best regards!
