London PE Analyst Comp
I work at a small PE real estate fund in London and I don’t have a great view of the wider market. I am trying to figure out what PE analysts should be paid and what sort of progression should I expect year to year. I’d be grateful if others could say what they’re on as from what small things I’ve seen I think I’m a bit underpaid.
I’m on £60k base +50-80%
That is good comp for small REPE mate
What's the size of the latest fund and what're your hours like?
The firm normally dose it’s funding on a asset by asset basis but it has around ~1.5 bn AUM.
As for hours averages about 11 hour days, rarely more than 13.
Thanks for your advice.
Man that is a sweet gig, I’m at a BB, make less than you get chewed out for 16 hours at least on 6 days a week. I’m in RE as well so let me know if you’re hiring at the associate level lol
Sounds like one of the best junior gigs in London taking WLB in account? Wtf
Our analysts get £90-105k with 40-45% bonus
(Large cap infra fund with >$100bn AUM)
Does an AN1 come directly from undergrad? In that case, the comp seems better than equivalent IB jobs right?
Yes, but getting PE straight out of undergrad is much harder than IB
Base at some megafunds for analysts in London is ~75k£ with bonuses in line with yours, but hours can be brutal so I would say you are definitely not below market
