Currently 6 months into the job…joined late, and deals super slow in the market now…can I re-recruit as a first year Asso?

In a similar position - I’m ~1 year in and new deal flow has been very slow since joining. I personally believe best course of action is to wait for the broader M&A market to pick up (already starting to due to interest rates stabilizing) and work on a couple deals through execution prior to looking elsewhere.
