Should I get MBB experience before jumping into PE?
I received a VA offer from an MBB company and a junior investment analyst offer from a PE firm (~200M EUR AUM), both in the CEE region, pay is comparable.
Since I have only done one internship at a tech-focused boutique IB, would it make sense to first do consulting for 2 years and then try to join a PE firm afterwards? Does it hinder my future career opportunities if I don't have any strategy/operative experience?
My long-term goal growth equity as I am interested in fast-growing, innovative companies but I also like modeling.
