Sixth Street Partners? Strategic Capital?
Interviewing soon for associate role. Curious on perception in industry and special sits space. I see they have grown a lot over past couple of years since TPG spin-off. Are they as respected as their pureplay PE peers in AUM ( a Thoma/LGP/Clearlake size fund). How do they compare to megafund opportunities I may be receiving? I am particularly interested in the Strategic Capital group (which I understand is their main strategy).
Bump. Also curious
Highly prestigious in what they do. Work at a competitor fund and they’re regarded as really smart investors. Obviously not doing buyout but in their field they’re right there with the Apollo HVs or Blackstone tact opps of the world
Very insightful. Do you know anything about their public markets team? I have an interview this week with them.
OP how was the interviewing process?
Is their 2025 process kicking off?
know the process starts around april last year - pls update when u start hearing things about it kicking off
Do they do buyouts ?
Is strategic capital a sector agnostic team or are associates / team members allocated to a specific sector only and then do work across strategiea (i.e credit, growth etc)?
Any info on London office ?
Thanks
