Anecdotally have heard (from a biased source lol) that they’ve mostly gotten past their fundraising hurdles.
Curious how they’re holding up squared up against the Insight / Summit / GA / TA / JMIs of the world, if anyone else is able to shed insights

Firm struggling with identity and has some growth buyout and some non-lead mid/late VC, tough gap to straddle. They demoted at least two Partners down to VP since I interviewed, almost every associate I talked to is out. Leadership is past its prime, culture suffering. Fund closed at 55% of target after two years in market.
Who’d they demote? Do they not have a Principal-level position?

They posted a bunch of roles on LinkedIn, I’d say generally when going direct to LinkedIn, you can’t be doing that great
lol so if a firm posted jobs online, it means it’s doing terribly - don’t know where that correlation comes from. Have seen reputable firms post their jobs online because they don’t want to pay useless recruiters fees (or do it in supplement to recruiters)
I think of it as barriers to entry to attract the highest caliber individual which will represent the associate class and above.
Trust me, I am no fan of SG Partners, but you are getting a curated candidate pool vs 200 middle / back office professionals applying via LinkedIn, and no shade against those folks, I hired a middle office valuations person and he is the highest performing now associate on my team, but that is the rare occurrence
