Tech Private Equity Oncycle Resources

Incoming analyst in IB looking to participate in oncycle. I am planning on interviewing for tech specific groups at funds and was wondering if anyone has had experience doing so during oncycle. Was the modeling focused on software specific modeling practices? If so, does anyone happen to have any software PE oncycle resources in terms of technicals and modeling prep? I know how to do the standard LBOs and technicals but not sure how to build a software LBO or much about the technicals there. Any help would be appreciated!

If you’re looking to be in software, I would honestly pour hours into YouTube channels like The SaaS CFO or the like. Tech is so large and diverse that it’s quite hard to have knowledge of trends within the field via TechCrunch that are not bland, meaningless, or disagreeable. BUT if you know the financial levers of a SaaS model during a case study better than the guy next to you who’s armed with the notion that LTV/CAC years are the holy grail, you’ll be ahead of the game.
