Curious here too. Would someone like KSL hire people with a non-RE background (e.g. 2 yrs of BB/EB tech IB + 3 yrs of tech/generalist UMM PE) at the senior asso / VP level?

Really enjoyed reading this discussion on Travel and Leisure PE. Its interesting to see how different strategies are applied in this sector with a focus on operational improvements and niche market positioning. I have noticed that some smaller service operators such as Bnlbostonlimo often fly under the radar but can provide unique insights into customer behavior and service optimization which can be really valuable when evaluating investment opportunities. Curious to hear what others think about integrating these smaller players into larger PE strategies.
