Take the offer, or not?
I was offered a S&T internship and a bulge bracket bank, and am unsure about whether to take it or not. I would really appreciate any advice, both positive and negative aspects of the job.

You're going to have to provide a little more information than that. What are your reservations about it? Do you have other offers somewhere else?
I'm just curious because you must have learned a decent amount about what your responsibilities would be/what the job is like while going through the interview process.
Yeah so I was hoping to get into the commercial real estate acquisitions this summer at a PE shop, but I think I want to try something new outside of my comfort zone. The program would be 10 weeks rotational at 2 desks either in Sales, Trading, or structuring
If you can't get into commercial real estate acquisitions then I could see that. However, are you 100% certain you can't get into a PE shop? The only reason I ask is that any experience you can get that will help you land into your "dream" field is crucial. There isn't much time to experiment for fun.
If you have no other opportunities, then take the S&T role but look for a way to spin it into something relevant for the role you hope to get into in the future.
If you haven't reached out to every PE shop you can then now is the time. Really try to push for an internship and express your interest in the commercial real estate acquisitions area.
Definitely take the offer. This is something related to finance and a BB can only be positive for your future. RE is dead boring compared to S&T for me. What year are you in? Whats your dream gig? More context would help.
my dream is to be in repe, however, only smaller shops are looking for interns. I'm a junior this is for this summer
Well small an't be bad if you are passionate about repe. Summer in S&T-> RE IB -> RE PE is an option to consider as well maybe for big shops.
