Any Canadians with/applying for TN Visa?
Fellow Canadians - has anyone had a lot of trouble going through the TN visa process recently? Considering the recent wording changes to the TN Economist, you guys think it will dissuade a lot of banks/HFs/PEs from hiring due to greater attorney costs?
Also has anyone been able to get a finance role with the Mathematician or Statistician profession? Dual Finance and Math major so thinking about that as an option as well.
Thanks all, Happy New Year
Piepod, hey, look at the bright side, at least you didn't get a ton of monkey shit thrown at you...here is my best guess on threads that might be helpful:

Lawyer costs aren't much for TN visa, nor are the filing fees. The issue is less the cost, even for an attorney, but more so due to the current environment. As you've mentioned (putting link in for ppl), there has been a narrowing of definition around economist that does not technically allow for "Financial Analyst". https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-issues-clarifying-guidan…
If you look up financial analyst in the occupation handbook (guidance for a lot of border/immigration occupations), you'll see the financial analyst help make investment decisions (said in another way, buy-side roles) https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/13-2051.00
Individuals are still able to get by with TN under economist or management consultant - but I would say things are definitely tougher because of the narrow interpretation that can be taken (rightly or wrongly). However, the argument for management consultant is much more robust than economist if you are potentially looking at sell-side and buy-side roles.
