Does anyone know of a database/resource that includes which banks advised on which deals?
Take, for example, Verizon's acquisition of Yahoo. I can google and find which banks advised which sides of the transaction, but that is within news articles. Is there a resource which presents the information in a clearer way that doesn't require me to comb through articles?

What he said. Or if it's a publicy traded company go to the acquiring firm's investor relations page and look in the documents section. They should have links to archived press releases and the one with the right date will disclose who the advisors were.
I think this is still true - but last I recall, colleges have things called "libraries" or "business school libraries". They're usually large structures on campus where books are left to rot. They might be a totally foreign concept to students now, but back in undergrad, like 3 years ago, we had access to a lot of these databases and resources. Wow - time really does fly.
EDGAR SEC is best for which banks underwrote a company financing. Look for 424B's and or s1/A's (F1/A's). It's free to use and very helpful if you want to pursue a career in banking.
