How strict are FT graduation requirements

For the majority of full-time applications, there's some type of graduation requirement to filter for rising seniors (usually Fall 2020 - Spring 2021). My question is how strict are these dates for students graduating a full year early. I'm currently in a "junior year" summer analyst program but already graduated this May. I'm worried I might automatically be rejected if I input "June 2020" as my graduation date. Any thoughts?

So let me get this straight. You recruited for IBDSA2020 as a graduating senior and formally graduated before your summer analyst gig started? I'm pretty sure the graduation range is pretty strict and could be grounds to rescind your FT offer (assuming you already have one) or just enough to blackball you from working with the company in the future. Why/how did you even pull this off?

Never heard of a graduate getting a SA gig. Depends if you disclosed this to the bank and interviewers when you went through recruitment. If they knew this already and you still got hired then I'm assuming they liked you enough to go around the normal rule of hiring kids that 1 year of school left. If you lied about your graduation date to everyone then who knows. Maybe they never find out, maybe they do and let you slide because you did a good job, maybe they find out and fire you for lying. Who knows but I'm assuming if you're posting this on here you did not inform them about your graduation date accurately

Agree with above ^

If you didn't tell them it may not matter at all or it could end up mattering. Background checks can easily tell if you have fully graduated and when. Maybe they won't care, maybe they will. Tbh it seems like they wouldn't though, they went through the process of giving you an offer you could always just say you ended up graduating early, then if you perform well and get an offer back you could ask to start early or enjoy a year of whatever

When I interned at a London BB about two thirds of the intern class had already graduated (seriously). That's why some banks offer early start dates. Sounds pretty different in NY though

When I was trying to make my way into IB I tried to apply to an FT program after graduating and the system bounced my app as "ineligible". Honestly, does't hurt to try, you won't be "blackballed" (clueless prospect comment) as long as you don't lie about anything but I'm sure a lot of the app portals will bounce your resume for not being in the date range.

For clarity, I graduated a year early. I didn’t know I would do this when recruiting spring of my sophomore year. A year later as a “junior,” I took 21 credits my spring semester and graduated in three years before starting my summer analyst position. I inquired with HR before doing this and was allowed, so there’s full transparency with the firm I’m at this summer. However, if I were to apply to other banks for a full-time role, I’m trying to determine whether I’d be eligible since I should be a rising senior but graduated a year early. Sorry for the confusion hope this helps clear things up.
