Thanks a lot man. Credit derivatives sound quite interesting to me and they seem like they may be something on the up given the current market environments. Also, thinking about forex options but no idea how much flow they get. I heard that right now plain vanilla desks are the best desks to go to because they always get the most flow and have the highest PnL.

Well, you should probably be well versed in bond math. Not sure how MS is structured, but the fixed income division may include structured products as well... in that case, you may want to know something about credit default swaps, CDO's etc. Many of these groups are under fire given the subprime mess (not sure how this impacts Hong Kong), so be prepared to discuss current events intelligently.

PLEASE DONT CHANGE EXCEL SHORTCUTS!!!

thanks for the feedback.

I'm not too familiar with the banking system in HK, would anyone care to shed some light on the monetary policies and how they are affected by the US, etc?

Thank again

JJLM, I'm not sure about IB, but for FID, i took a web assessment on logic--it was tricky but i think i did pretty well.

I have a similar phone interview, but for IED. HR told us over the informational chat that it would be a combination of fit and technicals, but mostly fit at the first few stages.

Ah, how many rounds are there expected to be?

Can't speak for MS, but I did Barclays S&T first round and it was 100% fit. No technicals at all.

Thanks. Was that this recruiting season or in the past?
