Sophomores, you look like idiots
Why the hell are you flexing your 2023 offers on LinkedIn without the successful completion of 2022?
Do you realize that you’re shooting yourself in the foot with your incoming internship by announcing your leaving before arriving? Do you not care about the quality and quantities of staffings and the overall level of investment that the team will place in you?
God forbid something happens to your 2023 offer, don’t you want to protect yourself? Stop being consumed with the desire to flex and actually think for a second why you think that it’s worth it at all.
Exactly why I did not to this. If you are working at any MM, BB, etc. before your big SA offer for Junior year they are expecting to return you.
I'm even worried about them pulling an offer if they hear about it before my start date haha.
I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about
Let's say you're a sophomore, going to do an IB internship this summer. You haven't started yet. You accept an MFPE analyst offer and you announce it on LinkedIn. The people at the sophomore year internship won't look at you kindly, and it will impact the quality of your internship.
damn
I hate seeing those posts. Am interning at different shops for ‘22 and ‘23 and I wonder how someone is smart enough to get an EB or PE offer out of undergrad but dumb enough to not know to keep your lips sealed. If someone from your company asks, no use in lying, but don’t go advertising it. Just be quiet and be humble. Your time to flex will come.
Common sense is not something they're generally scanning for in college sophomores surprisingly.
Kind of like announcing your next girl to your current girlfriend
Certified Harem moment
sorry babe, was only with you so i could get close to your hot best friend
So, to the Junior SA intership, you apply in summer of your sophomore year? So you definetly need a good internship that summer to be eligible.
You completely missed the point of the post.
There’s nothing wrong about adding “incoming xyz at ABC” on your resume. However, you should post on LinkedIn about Junior internships before you even started your summer one.
