Superday preparation
I have my first superday coming up next week
I was speaking with an analyst who told me she didn't learn about her superday until 2 days before.
In general how much do people prep before a superday? I woke up today and didn't drink coffee and I slept for the entire day.
Depends on how much you've been prepping leading up to it. If you know your technicals pretty well and can recite behaviorals at the drop of a hat, I'd spend the weekend looking at a few technicals, researching the firm, but mostly focus on staying calm. If you don't have behaviorals prepped/technicals down, balls to the wall for the next week, I guess.
I found out about my superdays anywhere from 3 weeks out to 2 days. I felt better prepared for the 2 days one, at that point I was in the zone and could have done an interview on an hour's notice. See if any friends will mock interview you in the next few days and figure out where you are.
what firm?
THE firm haha
Bump
Feel free to PM me. Just went through some super days last week and had success, so I can give you some tips and materials.
Hey man, could you send me some tips and materials as well? Much appreciated!

How do you prepare for your first superday? How to be successful? Specifically in S&T equities?
i'd be interested to hear some suggestions as well....
superday info - assessment centre article.
I have been through multiple equity S&T superdays so I will try to offer some help...
1) Be able to talk about the mkt and where you think it is going. I was asked this open ended question at every single one that I had. Be sure to give your opinions, dont just recite the WSJ..tell them how YOU feel about oil, credit mkts, leverage, the Fed, the USD, etc.
2) Have an idea what a trader and a salesperson/salestrader do at a BB firm...i was asked to explain these
3) Be ready to pitch trade ideas. talk about risk/reward, fundamentals, etc. pretend that you are actually convincing them to buy the stock..i would say that the pitch is one of the more important aspects of the interview
4) get a book on wall st interview brainteasers...balls in an airplane, mental math, etc etc etc
5) ask good questions
hope that helps
im assuming you are referring to this week's ms equities?
intern or FT?
FT
