It was a streamlined process. Every interviewer I had spoken with were kind hearted and easy to talk with. I doubt there was anything negative from the whole experience.

It was a streamlined process. Every interviewer I spoke with was kind-hearted and easy to talk to. I doubt there was anything negative to say about the whole experience.

Since I applied through the early insights program, I didn't need to go through the first-round interviews typically required for applicants. The questions were predominantly behavioral and focused on market news to gauge genuine interest in the field. That is why my best advice would be to have your discourse with your interviewers be conversational. Additionally, it was important to understand the different types of risk groups at the firm and their respective functions. Try to find which segment you might have interest in as they will definitely ask you that.
Interview Questions
An interviewer from market risk asked me about different option models and some advanced statistical and macro concepts.

Both were very laid back and mainly behavioral and fit questions to get to know you more and your background with how it relates to the role. After the 2 hour interview I was given an offer over the phone within a week.

Interview
First round consisted of two interviews with Analyst and Associate. The Analyst had recently converted and had limited idea about the FIG business so he made general IB questions (valuation, market knowledge, banking ecosystem opinion); the Associate also made general M&A questions and went a bit deeper with some FIG valuation questions (metrics, CET1, AT1, CET2).

The second round (and last for me) also consisten in two interviews, with VP and Director. The director asked a few baking questions to feel my knowledge about the industry: transactions I knew, my opinion about these, experience in the industry, my opinion about banking ecosystem and synergies/consolidation. The VP asked me lots of questions about statements (specially BS and P&L) for Banks and Insurance companies, also asked me to rank all the banks in the country in terms of assets, finally asked me for my personal outlook view for the banking sector and how rates movements would react on margins

Interview
Firstly started with applying online and doing a numerical reasoning test as well as a logical reasoning test. Heard back a days later with an invitation to a telephone interview, had a few technical questions but most were competency based questions. Was then later invited to the London office for a group interview/networking session with recruiters from different divisions. Had to do a group presentation in front of the different recruiters on a task given to us. Was then told if specific divisions were interested we would have a final virtual super day with multiple interviews. Had 4 final interviews with different divisions and then waited around a week or so and received a phone call with an offer.
Interview Questions
Asked me how I would approach a problem using SQL (I found this difficult as I don't have much experience with SQL).

Phone Interview

Interview
It was straightforward. I applied around March or April and heard back from HR for first round phone interview around mid-May. I did that (30 min phone screen with basic behaviorals and techinicals) and got invited for the virtual Superday two weeks later. The Superday comprised of three 30-min 1-on-1 back to back interviews. The first was with an an M&A Assoc, 2nd was with a LevFin Assoc, and last one was with a Director in C&R. Generally speaking, the first 2 were relatively simple behaviorials and for technicals, I was asked talk about past internship/finance society experiences as well as some questions about DCF and LBO, but nothing too crazy. The last interview was more of a natural conversation/exchange where I was asked a lot about why I did what I did (i.e. why go to this school, why did that internship, why banking, etc.) and some examples where I demonstrated this or that quality. In terms of technicals, it wasn't textbook questions but rather "case-study" of my understanding of the market, etc. Again, nothing to extreme. After the Superday, I heard back a couple days from HR with an offer.
Interview Questions
There weren't any really difficult questions. In terms of what was unexpected, when I was doing my "tell me abt yourself" response, in which I made a reference to a case competition/valuation/pitch of company X which I did my freshman year --> played a role in building my interest in finance, the interviewer stopped me half-way through and essentially asked "who the hell would want to buy that company?"
