Credit interview investing in Banks
Hi,
Just found out I have a 2 rather long interviews for an investment analyst position at a global AM.
The team has a global mandate to invest in the credit (public bonds, investment grade, & some stressed) of financial institutions - mainly banks. The role entails supporting the MD on the investment team to select what should be bought across the sector, stress testing, assigning ratings, and heavy spreadsheet work.
What type of questions should I expect to get on this interview and how best could I prepare? I have some experience in credit but not on the investing side. Would appreciate the help as the interview is in 2 days and I have to start preparing!
popper_stoic, hey, look at the bright side, at least you didn't get a ton of monkey shit thrown at you...here is my best guess on threads that might be helpful:

Hope that helps.
You should probably understand the regulatory environment of the US and other large developed economies. Also need to know how they generate revenue (net interest income), asset quality so net charge offs, non performing assets, accruals etc. Also capital adequacy such as CET1, T1, total ratio as well as the components that go into each. As well as general fixed income stuff like rel val. Google search over those items should give you a head start but feel free to PM if you want to know more. I covered the sector in the past so I'm somewhat familiar.
