PE teams within AM -> Exits?

I was curious right, as some AM firms have private markets or RE teams (could be akin to "REPE").

If you were in that team but you didn't like the pay, culture, or development, what are your options?

Can you exit to other PE firms or is it the same teams but at other AM firms only?

E.g. RE Investments at JPM AM. Could you go to Blackstone RE or other REPE type firms like Starwood? Or is it basically only other similar AM firms e.g. M&G or BlackRock RE teams?

I guess the key difference here might be pay I feel and that's where I am trying to go (the generic reason I know).

Thank you.
