Super day JPM advice
Have a JP Morgan private bank super day in about a week, it is for asset and wealth management role. Would love to hear advice from people who have gone through any jpm super day interviews.
I have spoken to one of the guys who is in that office about this and got advice from him, and am trying to prepare as much as possible. Do any of y’all remember any of the questions you were asked? How should I be looking to carry myself? I have been told to convey I am hardworking, intellectual, and all that, and make sure to wrap it in a level of humility. Any advice appreciated.
Hey there! It sounds like you're gearing up for a big day. Superdays can be intense, but with the right preparation, you'll do just fine. Here are a few tips based on the most helpful WSO content:
Know Your Stuff: Make sure you're well-versed in the basics of asset and wealth management. You should be able to discuss market trends, investment strategies, and risk management.
Be Prepared for Behavioral Questions: These are designed to gauge your fit within the company culture. Questions might revolve around your ability to work in a team, handle stress, or deal with difficult clients.
Show Your Passion: Demonstrating genuine interest in the role and the industry can set you apart from other candidates. Be ready to discuss why you're drawn to asset and wealth management and what you hope to achieve in the role.
Stay Professional: While it's important to show your personality, remember to maintain a professional demeanor. This includes dressing appropriately, speaking clearly, and showing respect to everyone you interact with.
Ask Insightful Questions: This shows that you're engaged and serious about the role. You might ask about the company culture, the team you'll be working with, or the challenges and opportunities the company is currently facing.
Remember, it's not just about proving that you're hardworking and intellectual. It's also about showing that you're a good fit for the team and the company culture. So, take a deep breath, put on your best suit, and go knock 'em dead!

mostly behavioral
Good luck - you got this. Interview is largely behavioral. So make sure you go through the generic ?s. Would highly recommend doing research about the specific office (or sector if in NY) that you are interviewing with. Read up any changes in leadership etc. also be able to sprinkle in knowledge you have about the team structures (single v partner coverage). Have your “why you” answer ready. And look into some recent stories going on in the market/geopolitics. See those in and you’ll be a slam dunk. Good luck!
Did the JPM super day for the private bank about a month ago, would echo what was said above and it is largely behavioral. Be up to date on who leads their different divisions, that was one thing that caught me off guard. Feel free to shoot me a PM, happy to chat more.
when did you apply and do your hirevue? how long did they take to send a super day invite?
Applied back in April. Hirevue shortly after. Superday in September. Roughly 35 networking calls over the summer
Was it for SA or FT ?
