Career Resources
Performance are top tier since inception, but from the offer I saw comp can be low at Junior Level (but I imagine that it’s top tier for senior level given their return)
how is their return?
They made a presentation in my master, and fund grew from 2-3b to 8b in 4 years and return was above 30% each year
Graduate salary is around 120kGBP including everything, so this is pretty low.
what comp is like for more senior people?
From what I heard easily high 6 figures or low 7 figures. But biggest values is that the fund is open for employee, and given the return they had the last 4 year I imagine this is the real incentive for senior ppl
Is that low ? I'm under the impression that most hedgefunds in London are in that range !
What role was this for? What do new grad quants get paid?
this is for undergraduate or graduate?
Can anyone recommend the way how to prepare for the entry level positions. Specifically for quant trader/research/dev? Thanks in advance
very smart very french
Culture inside is bad. No formulaic payout as others have already noted. It's one of those places where how long you stay and how well you bootlick determines how much comp you get as opposed to actual performance. No real room to advance into a PM role as a QR/QT.
Reminds of another French fund doesn’t it?
Squarepoint?
Toxic culture according to a few people I know. Lots of lies and manipulation, they absolutely don't care about what they sell vs what they give to senior joiners. It looks like a good environment for juniors, but more senior people should avoid moving there.
This is hearsay, but they would tell you what you want to hear to make you join, then get your ideas, then if you're unhappy feel free to leave with your non-compete. It looks like the fund did not understand how to grow and this is just some structure built around the partners who actually take 100% of all decisions, all credit and money
Second the above two comments. The environment looks pretty poor for non-juniors.
There are so many other places that will give you a career, don't ruin it for this place
Any more details or examples could you please described? Im kinda of senior(5/6 yrs) and is considering the offer from them.
Their perfm past a fews yrs looked great and be expanding fast. So why it is so bad choice for senior researcher?
Many thx if someone could give more advice.
