Investment Process
Hi,
I want to take investing into public equities more serious, but I have some issues with the research process and would like to know how other people go forward in their process.
I use a basic stock screener to find potential companies with the right characteristics e.g. EV/EBITDA, FCF Yield etc. but once im starting to take a closer look im not sure how long I should dig into the company and where I should start with my research to be efficient in spending my time?
I feel like it would make sense to start with the financials, as it can be a quick check for some red flags e.g. to much debt, to low margins. But I might be wrong here.
Therefore the question, when you find a company that has your interest where do you start your research, in the business model, financials etc. and when do you know to stop researching because it failed you test?
