Associate Rotation to New York - European Monkey

Dear Monkeys,

I am approaching the end of the 2 year Analyst program at my BB. In summer 2023 my bank will be running Associate rotation program and we got informed about the possibility of rotating to another office including New York. Would any of the European monkeys consider that opportunity?

In me view there are a few pros and cons, as with pretty much everything in life

Pros:
- Getting to experience New York
- Possibility to experience new industry / team
- (Probably) well-regarded experience upon return to the European office

Cons:
- Uncertain team allocation
- Lack of social circle there
- (Probably) worse work-life balance
- Delayed exit to PE

Would appreciate if anyone, who moved offices to New York or considered it could chip in!
