Hello,
I was curious to hear if anyone has ever seen/heard about someone recruited at a BB as a first year analyst 2 years out of undergrad. Thanks!

Career Resources
Undergrad - 2 years in consulting - MSc - BB analyst..
I have seen it in EMEA
mine is EMEA. Most europeans in BBs only start their careers after completing a masters degree. Its probably a culture thing. So, transitioning after a Masters (non-MBA) is not viewed negatively.
It depends largely on how those 2 years were spent. You might get in from TAS or a valuation shop as a junior analyst.
yeah, I had zero exp in TAS or any sort of valuations. It was more general mgmt consulting stuff. But I did network my balls off to get that first interview. After that, no one seemed to care whether I had any relevant exp or not. It was all about how I performed.
I did well on the technicals, and fit questions were a breeze. Plus, I seemed to share a good vibe with them.
Plus, age hardly matters cause I'm in this for the long haul & and have no plans to study further. Whereas, for someone who joined at 22/23, their priorities are probably different.
So did I shoot my self in the foot by being in the back office? I want banking but unsure if i can pursue an MBA.
