CPPIB, OTPP, and JPM (Calgary) are also open
In Toronto: Barclays, CS, GS, RBC have all done some hiring (not sure if there's more to come from them other than RBC). MS is currently in the process of hiring. Hiring will be ramping up in September for the rest.
In Calgary: JPM, GS, Citi have all begun their processes with superdays coming up soon. The remaining Calgary BBs should follow suit soon.
When did Barclays applications open?
They were never "open", it was all under the table. Think they have had a history of violating campus recruiting protocols and aren't allowed at certain schools as a result.

do most people that recruit for canadian SA go to schools in canada?
i'm canadian but go to school in the US, so not sure if i'm at a disadvantage
If you're from an Ivy League, you'll be put on par with the Ivey/Queens applicants, if not a notch higher. You'll just need to have a clear story as to why you want to work in Canada vs US.
got into canadian target back in the day but decided to go to a US non-target.. terrible decision lol damn
sometimes they might not bother if they feel you'll renege if they give u an offer (leverage it for US placement)
Overwhelmingly they hire people at Canadian schools, not just because they have a preference or because they think you might not accept it but because a lot of the recruiting is not through online portals but through the investment clubs and knowing the right people.

Anyone want to give some updates on the canadian banks for the FT space? which are closed and which still open
RBC, BMO, TD have held superdays and hired. However, I believe BMO and TD are still looking to fill a few spots. National has a couple openings as well.

Raymonds James has quite a few seniors from the street. They do a bit of everything but are good in fig/fintech. Also did everyone forget Greenhill lol?

Friend of mine said he has first round CIBC Markets. Haven't heard anything about RBC or Scotia though. Have you already heard back from BMO and TD?

For IB, yes they have. But note that if you applied through school or externally, the timeline could be different. I'm telling you from my personal experience/what I've been told by others.

I haven't heard back from RBC S&T, but a friend of mine got the Scotia superday. Have you heard anything yet?
I heard someone got a superday as well but I haven't heard back either. I interviewed almost two weeks ago so it's not looking good for me right now
