Why the need to "prestige rank" everything ?

What's prestige based on ? Deal flow ? Comp ? How smart the average team is ? Or is your "prestige" ranking only based on what the average joe in your finance class thinks ?

I've never understood people who are obsessed with prestige rankings. Obviously everyone wants to go to a great bank, myself first, but I wouldn't create S+++, S++, S+, S, S- tiers for fucking specific groups at specific banks.

Land an offer before you frenetically rank every subteam you can think of.
