Accelerated Barclays NYC IBD SA (Anyone hear back yet?)

There are a total of two Superdays:

One already passed: 12/12

The last one is this upcoming this Friday: 12/19

I had my superday on 12/12, and was wondering if anyone has heard back. I spoke with a colleague within the firm who wasn't involved with the actualy superday, but still had information. They said we should expect to hear back early this week. The person informed me yesterday afternoon that we might hear back early this week.

Let me know if you guys/gals have heard anything.

Thanks!

What is the accelerated program? I have not seen any reference for that. I was in NYC recently for an invited open house where Barclays paid the transportation. I was with about 50 other potential summer analyst applicants. I have not heard yet about a phone interview but why would the Bank bring in such potential candidates if there was one and now another upcoming super day to fill any 2015 summer analyst positions?

Baboon was that in NYC? Did you interview on campus or submit a resume to the program and go through a phone, online and in person interview outside of a campus process? I am still unclear why the Bank would bring in potential candidates for an open house if they already had their candidates for the summer analyst position.

From the remaining senior guys I've talked to at Barclay's its actually a good thing. Deal flow is still coming in hot and there's more room for upward mobility for a lot of the VP's.

Depends. If you are going for S&T, I'd say no. For advisory, I'd say yes, because they are hiring away from other banks to fill those spots anyways. Barclays new strategy is focused around advisory business for the higher margin, so I wouldn't worry too much about the lay-offs.

You crave what you are not. Dude, your perspective on life sucks.

Would you guys say their Nat Res and Power groups are still as strong as they used to be? I was looking at the leagues for M&A, and they're still going strong... I have no idea what's happening.
