AM to IBD

Hello all, currently going through the recruiting process, was wondering about shifts within firms.

How difficult is it to shift from being an AM Intern to IBD FT?

Would it be easier to shift from one year of AM FT to IBD FT?

I know that these things differ from firm to firm, so if you could let me know which firm you are speaking of, that would be awesome.

Thanks so much in advance!
