Anybody hear of these guys before?

Anybody ever heard of Girard Securities, Inc. before? They are headquartered in San Diego, CA, and are an independently owned broker/dealer. They contacted me about an internship for this summer and I was just wondering if anybody could give me some info on them, and if their program is worth pursuing. My goal is to get into S&T after I graduate (maybe even I-banking). Thanks everyone.

I was thinking the same thing... They pulled my resume from my schools career service center, so maybe its not as bad as it seems... The thing I was worried about was that right off the bat they asked if I could commit to a 3 month internship and sent me information on where I could stay... Seems kinda desperate... No talk on an interview or anything...

Pulling your resume from your career services profile isn't necessarily a bad thing. I was called like that by a boutique that everyone here would recognize, and like an idiot agreed to an interview on the spot; what a terrible job I did.

That being said, with them trying to mimic another firm and seeming so desperate, I would be wary. Looking at their website it appears as though they are a retail shop. This is fine if its the only thing you can get (or if its sophomore year, etc...) And SD is a nice place.
