Anyone in IB got placed on TRT?
For the past two months I realised an odd but precipitous decline in my energy level and attention to detail to an embarrassing degree. I was literally feeling my bones and muscles hurt and my brain completely incapable of functioning normally at times. Fatigue was destroying me. Quality of work was so noticeably low leading to multiple warnings about my place at the bank. I gained fat despite working out 4-5 times weekly and tracking my calories, eating consistently a wee bit below maintenance. I did a full check on my body and apparently I have severely low test. My first instinct was to be embarrassed, being a 25 y/o, but the clinic people assured me they get tonnes of people in their 20's and 30's. I got 6 injections so far and it's like I'm a new human. My attention to detail is at its best levels ever. Hard to describe how amazing my energy levels are and how quickly they're replenished.
Per bank policy though, this has to be disclosed. All treatment must be reported. The people who know are few but I feel like I'm being judged. Not that anyone has said a thing, it's my own brain making me feel embarrassed. What's even worse is that apparently I might be on it forever. I don't know why I feel so ashamed about it but I do.
Just wanted to vent this out. Has anyone here been through something similar?
I was prescribed TRT about 3 months ago after I got laid off. Just like you I had the full suite of symptoms ruining my performance, energy, strength, cognitive function etc. My energy has quadrupled tho tbf I started high already at a 200mg cypionate dose. I should've listened to my body telling me to do it years ago but getting fired was it for me. There's no shame bro life is just not made to maintain high testosterone anymore. Just compare the daily routine of a 1900's male with a today's males'. I was never told by any employer to disclose that tho, but I remember being asked to specifically disclose "taking any PEDs" by my most recent employer. But again why would you give a shit dude. It's a normal thing and I suspect thousands of ppl in your shoes don't know yet they need it too
