Are firms still drug testing?
Interning at a MM and unsure if they'll drug test. The internship is now a virtual mentorship series and obviously there's a global pandemic. Are firms still making interns take drug tests? Were they even drug testing before the pandemic? It seems like a waste of time and resources to test for weed but would love to hear what format your internship was changed to and if you were drug tested.

you're probably in the clear to rip your dab pen at your parents house, didn't get drug tested last summer and heard nothing during onboarding/ first month of starting FT, at a MM as a well. think there's some new NYC law that companies can't test for weed but I don;t know the details so take that with a grain of salt. wish I had mine as I sit here in my room waiting for another turn of dumbass comments at fuckin midnight on a friday lol.
Interning at a boutique that focuses on a particular industry. haven't gotten background check or drug test yet. Are some banks not doing background checks this year?

Evercore did to drug tests for FT employees.
You can't smoke weed or do other unmentionables, they are definitely going to ask even if it legal from whenever you from unless it is illegal to ask about what substances you did.

yes, they are but it’s less aggressive than usual. I’ve been tested like once in 2 years as is. Tbh unless you are appearing in person / have paperwork to sign you’re probably in the clear.
